Tournament Information
It is with great honour that the Amateur Boxing Association of England Limited and Liverpool City Council invite your National Association to participate in the 38th European Senior Amateur Boxing Championships which will be staged in Liverpool, England at the new Echo Arena, Liverpool.
The event will take place under the supervision of EABA and abiding to all of AIBA rules and regulations.

Each National Association is invited to enter no more than 11 athletes who are senior boxers one in each of the following weight categories:
48kgs / 51kgs / 54kgs / 57kgs / 60kgs / 64kgs / 69kgs / 75kgs / 81kgs / 91kgs / 91+kgs
All athletes must be in possession of an International Competition Record Book with the results of the annual medical examination entered. It must be up to date and in compliance with the details attached to their passports.
All bouts will consist of 4 x 2 minute rounds each with a one minute rest in between rounds.
All official delegations should include the following:
1 - 4 boxers 2 officials + 1 R/J
5 - 8 boxers 3 officials + 1 R/J
9 - 11 boxers 4 officials + 1 R/J
Any additional people will be charged £80.00 British Pound Sterling per day for their accommodation and board in a double or twin room or £90.00 British Pound Sterling per day per person for a single room.
Accommodation / Meals
All accommodation and meals will be provided at the Tournament hotel, the Britannia Adelphi.
Travelling Expenses and Transport
Each National Association must cover the costs of their own travel expenses to and from England.
The organisers will provide transport to and from Liverpool Airport and Manchester Airport only.
The organisers will provide all internal transport.
Medical Care
The organisers will provide full medical care for the participants while resident in the UK. Full ambulance and paramedic cover will be in place for the duration of the Championship and the neurological unit (hospital) is only 3 minutes drive away.
Doping Control
Doping Control Tests may be conducted in full compliance with AIBA and EABA rules by the UK Sports Council Drug Defence unit.
Equipment
National Associations must provide each boxer with one red and one blue AIBA ratified head guard
Plus one red and one blue competition vest.
The organisers will provide 10 ounce competition gloves ratified to AIBA standard for the Championship.
Medals
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to all winners.
Special prizes will also be presented during the Tournament.
Flags and National Anthems
The organisers will provide all national flags and anthems.
Visas
The United Kingdom has very stringent visa application rules.
All names of official delegation members, passport numbers and place and date of entry into the United Kingdom must
be submitted to the organisers no later than 30 days prior to the competition.
This will assist with the visa application procedures should visas be required by your association.
Financial Conditions
National teams and Delegation members will be charged £75.00 British Pound Sterling for lodging and full board (3 meals) per person per day.
Lodging and full board for Teams and Delegations arriving before 5th November and staying after 15th November 2008 will pay £80.00 British Pound Sterling per person per day outside the days of the Championship schedule.
Extra people outside of the official delegation will be charged £80.00 British Pound Sterling per day per person for lodging and full board in a double or twin room or £90.00 British Pound Sterling per day for a single room.
All accomodation charges must be paid in advance by BACS payment in British Pound Sterling (£) - Dollars and Euro's will not be accepted. Payments to be made by Friday 17th October 2008
